Positive action against retail offenders |
||
|
The Central Neighbourhood Team have been taking action against prolific retail crime offenders and have recently secured charges against two people. Rema Thompson, 48, has been charged with 6 counts of shoplifting and one count of assault. She received an 18 week custodial sentence. Abdulaziz Mohammed, 33, has been charged with 6 counts of shoplifting and one public order offence. He has been remanded to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (07/11/2025). Neighbourhood Officers are taking robust action against prolific retail offenders that feel entitled to steal from businesses in our community. Shoplifting isn’t a victimless crime. It drives up prices for honest customers. When people steal from local shops, everyone pays the price. | ||
